Latest annual upgrade of KCMS unveiled by Konami Gaming
Konami Gaming, Inc., a Las Vegas-based subsidiary of Konami Corporation, is upgrading about 70 casinos which are currently running Konami Casino Management System (KCMS). KCMS is a casino management system which is best known for its advanced characteristics such as real-time TCP/IP-based technology, multi-channel in-machine streaming video, true multi-game and many more. The systems will be upgraded to KCMS v3.20. This news was announced by the Vice President Research and Development for Systems at Konami Gaming, Inc., Thomas Soukup. Konami Gaming, Inc. is a world renowned provider of slot machines and casino management systems for the gaming market all over the world. This latest version of KCMS was developed last year. 70 casinos will be given this system free of cost under the maintenance agreement of Konami. Konami has a goal to provide its customers with the latest and most efficient systems which have the most recent technology and enhancements. They also aim at doing it in the most cost-effective manner so that the users of KCMS are always leading the competition.
Thomas Soukup also said that the upgrade to this latest version can easily be performed remotely via a secure and encrypted VPN connection which is controlled by the casino jurisdiction. This is made possible by the centralized database architecture of KCMS which facilitates upgrading all modules such astable games, slots, TITO, patron tracking, etc simultaneously. According to him most of the updates are taking a little over an hour to complete. He also commented, “KCMS v3.20 offers Konami’s most current gaming system technology, which promises to entertain, engage and track players like never before, helping casinos using KCMS surpass their competition.”
This new version of KCMS was developed after collecting feedbacks from the entire customer base. It has a new look which is just like Microsoft Windows. It also incorporates a new Graphical user interface which includes enhancements for easy use of the system. A few new features are a status bar that highlights errors and status messages. This helps the user in easily determining and knowing when a particular field requires attention. For table games, the new version has features like more accurate, real-time tracking of players which is based on their behavior such as skill, speed and play percentage.
KCMS v3.20 also has new incentive promotion feature which is called Random Free Play. This allows the marketing team to decide the minimum, maximum and average award amounts that can be transferred to the player.
